Client: Ryan Adams

On February 17th, Ryan Adams released his sixteenth studio album entitled Prisoner. Written and recorded in Electric Lady’s Studio A, Pitchfork refers to the album as, “a convergence point where the heartland comfort food of Ryan Adams, the puckish punk whims of 1984, and the arena-rock aspirations of 1989 meet.”

Ryan Adams’ Easy Tiger was released on June 26, 2007, on the Lost Highway label. The album features The Cardinals as his backing band, with Adams stating: “The only real concept of this record was complete and utter collaboration.” The album was recorded and mixed entirely at Electric Lady Studios, and debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 setting a new high for Adams’ first-week sales.

Notable Mention: In 2010, Adams released two additional studio albums that stemmed from Easy Tiger’s recording sessions at Electric Lady: III/IV, a double album, and Orion, a heavy metal collaboration between Adams and producer Jamie Candiloro.
