Weezer, also known as “The Blue Album,” is the debut, eponymous album by the American alternative rock band Weezer. It was released in May of 1994 on the DGC Records label. The album was produced by former Cars frontman, Ric Ocasek, and recorded entirely at Electric Lady Studios. As of August 2009, the album has sold over 3,300,000 copies in the United States; certified triple-platinum in the US and double-platinum in Canada.
