Led Zeppelin was among the first bands to record and mix tracks at Electric Lady Studios. The group often paired with Electric Lady’s then chief engineer, Eddie Kramer, recording and mixing some of the world’s most coveted album tracks in history.
Electric Lady’s first Zeppelin credit began with 1970’s “Gallows Pole”, released on the band’s third studio release, III. Subsequent works included several tracks from their 11 times platinum 1973 release, Houses of the Holy — including the reggae-rock breakthrough, “D’yer Mak’er” — and, Physical Graffiti’s “Houses of the Holy,” released in 1975. Tracks for their live video release, The Song Remains the Same, were also mixed at Electric Lady by Kramer.
